Captain/Lawyer Jack. C.Y. Yang has recently joined Hai Tong & Partners. Mr. Yang graduated from Shanghai Maritime University, majoring in International Law, with a focus on Maritime Law. He holds a Class A unlimited area master's certificate and has served in companies such as Orient Overseas Container Line, Evergreen Marine Corporation, and Mediterranean Shipping Company, with rich experience in navigation and ship management, as well as maritime investigation. After completing his post graduate’s program, Mr. Yang interned at a well-known maritime law firm and became a practicing lawyer. Mr. Yang has handled many influential cases for shipowners, P & I clubs insurance companies, and shipyards, and has participated in the handling and investigation of major maritime accidents many times.
Mr. Yang Chaoyang's joining has greatly enhanced Hai Tong's capability to handle various maritime accidents. In addition to Mr. Yang, Hai Tong also has another master serving as a maritime consultant, Captain Wang Hong'an, who also has rich maritime experience. Moreover Hai Tong also has a part-time maritime consultant, Mr. Zhang Chunchang. Mr. Zhang once served as the deputy director of the Anti-pollution and Dangerous Goods Management Division under China MSA and organized and commanded the emergency handling and accident investigation of the "Sanchi" collision and explosion accident, the 2015 Tianjin "8.12" Container Yard explosion accident, the 2010 "Dalian 7.16" oil pipeline explosion accident, and the " A Symphony" oil pollution accident. Mr. Zhang is currently a senior instructor appointed by the China MSA, who annually teaches maritime investigation officers from all local MSAs and possesses extensive experience in handling various maritime accidents.
